Las Vegas, Nevada is for anyone and everyone. This could be a couples trip, girls trip, guys trip, family trip (not AS much with kids but can still be fun), or an anniversary trip like we did this time! Between the amazing views, the nightlife, and endless food options, there is a liking for everyone in Vegas!
We booked flights and our hotel for Vegas through Expedia! (TRAVEL HACK!!)
One of my requests for this trip was to stay at The Bellagio in Vegas. The reason is because I love Oceans and George Clooney. We went to Vegas in the winter so the Botanical Gardens are decorated for Christmas so it was BEAUTIFUL!
The flight into Vegas is breathtaking. Mountain views appear out of nowhere when flying into the Vegas airport. We did rent a car through Enterprise because we wanted to travel outside of the city.
If you are only planning on staying on the strip, a car is not necessary for Vegas.
As soon as we landed in Vegas, we headed to the hotel and checked in early. Food was the next stop, across the street was a delish/authentic Mexican restaurant: Cabo Wabo Cantina.
After chowing down (the time change messes everything up), we head down the strip and popped into each casino.
Casinos in Vegas
The best casinos in Vegas are the Bellagio, the Venetian, and the Paris Las Vegas. You want to walk into each and feel out their vibe. Each casino has so much to offer.
The Bellagio
The Bellagio from the outside is magnificent. Walking inside the casino is just as great. The gambling scene and service was incredible.
The Venetian
This photo was taken right outside the Venetian. The water and detail on the building is beautiful. They offer boat rides on the water. Never been to Europe but now I want to see the real thing!
Paris Las Vegas
Next trip, we WILL eat in the Eiffel Tower. This is the best casino if you are want a lower key vibe. The inside of the casino is very quaint and feels smaller. Paris Las Vegas was the best gambling casino.
Mandalay Bay
The Michael Jackson show was in Mandalay Bay that is on the Vegas strip. So we grabbed dinner at Lupo by Wolfgang Puck before the show. The food was delicious and the vibe was very romantic.
What To Do In Las Vegas, Nevada
Bellagio Botanical Gardens
Christmas is the best time to visit Vegas. The city is decorated and filled with lights. The Bellagio Hotel in Vegas has the Botanical Gardens, which is free to the public. During Christmas there were lights, trees, flowers, and all kinds of decor for the holiday. It was beautiful to walk through!
Michael Jackson Cirque Du Soleil
Honestly, the show was not great, we were disappointed. Music was awesome but we were not into acrobats. I do recommend doing a show, concert, or comedy club. When we go back, we will be planning on another type of show!
Skyfall Lounge
The Skyfall Lounge in Manadalay Bay on the Vegas Strip is AMAZING! Day or night, the view is awesome! This is a cocktail lounge with large glass windows facing the entire Vegas strip. There are plenty of chairs at the bar, couchs to sit, and the drinks are great!
Hoover Dam
45 Minutes from the Las Vegas strip is the Hoover Dam. Obviously a famous spot and worth making the trip! There are a couple stops along the way as you enter the area! It’s a scenic drive and the Dam is amazing.
Red Rock Canyon
After the visiting the Hoover Dam, we drove back towards Vegas, and drove to Red Rock Canyon. The Canyon is only 20 minutes from the Vegas strip and there is a shuttle if you do not rent a car. Beautiful hiking trails and a 13 mile scenic drive through the canyon!
In and Out
Florida girl had to have some In and Out for a late lunch, early dinner! Burgers and fries are delish and it was very close to our Vegas hotel.
Bellagio Fountain
The Bellagio Hotel in Vegas is something to see. You have to see the fountains light up and go crazy at night! The fountains start every couple minutes so you can’t miss it. During Christmas time, they flow to holiday music.
Grabbed a late night dinner at Giordano’s on the Vegas strip. After, we hit the casinos to spend some money!
Gambling
You cannot come to Vegas and not gamble! Paris Las Vegas was our favorite casino to gamble at so we started there and ended at Bellagio!
Eataly
Vegas has Eataly, which is such a cool experience when walking down the Vegas strip. A absolute must if you love Italian! This Eataly Vegas iMarket has small shops, a deli, a bakery, and our favorite: sub shop! This was a highlight of the trip, and top of the list when we come back.
M&M Factory
The Vegas M&M Factory is an interesting stop, it is located next to the Coke store. There are a variety of interesting places to see on the Vegas strip, it is worth the stop inside and walk around.
Welcome to Vegas Sign
This Welcome to Las Vegas Sign is not walkable from the strip so be prepared to drive or Uber. We also waited in a long line to take our picture with the Vegas sign. Worth it for the memories!
There are SO many things to do and see in Las Vegas, Nevada! We loved our winter anniversary trip there and plan on going again soon.
Happy Traveling!
