Let’s be honest, your office space is where you spend majority of your time. Whether this is in an actual office or an at home desk, it is so important to have a space you feel comfortable and confident in at all times during the day.

They say you spend more time at work than you do at home. This is exactly why you deserve an upgraded (yet affordable) work space. You deserve an office space that you can come to in the morning and feel ready to take on the day. Small adds to your little office desk will make a huge difference in your productivity and confidence.

If you are new to my posts, you will quickly learn that we are all about budget and being resourceful with our money. We don’t get paid millions of dollars on our paychecks every week so we like to live somewhat frugal. A here and there splurge is fine, but we don’t need to be spending a lot on an office space.

Therefore, I am qualified to say that these are the perfect adds to your work space that won’t break the bank.

This blog post is about office decor.

Here are 9 different Office Decor Options to Upgrade your Space:

1. Upgrade your chair.

If you sit and stare at a screen all day, you might as well be comfortable. The office chair is also an eye sore if it is an ugly black or blue one that came from your parents house when you moved out.

How can you be productive if you are constantly fidgeting in your chair? Keep it neutral and always have an adjustable feature.

SO many recommendations for this chair when we wanted to upgrade our home office.

2. Turn your Stagnant Space to a Productive Space.

Best thing to do is to get the body moving and keep it active during the day. It is often hard to be productive in the morning when you first come in or when you get back from lunch, so this is the the perfect solution.

Standing or getting some slow movement in during the work day really helps kickstart productivity. Mind and body movement is so important, especially when you are in the office or working 8-10 hours a day.

Add a standing desk or walking pad to your office to upgrade your space.

3. Add a personal touch.

Frame the person, animal, or place that motivates you to get through each work day. When you are having a bad or overwhelming day, look at that framed photo and it will slightly improve. These modern, clean frames look great on the office desk.

TIP – Order your prints through CVS or Walgreens. They always have coupons and do same day pick up.

4. Incorporate light.

If you read anything from an interior designer, they will tell you to add light to a space. We add lamps to our living room, kitchen, and bedroom, so why not add one to your office.

A nice, soft lamp on your desk can add a natural, relaxing vibe to your office space. A floor lamp also looks nice in an office room.

You can even add this to your desk if you work in a corporate office. The overhead lights are not soft or relaxing so you will need to add your own version to great that ambiance.

5. Add color.

We still love a neutral, clean girl office space. However, it is nice to have some color in the space.

These are the best pens and highlighters to have on your desk. They are easy to grab to take notes, add something to the calendar, or throw in your bag.

Pens & highlighters are also great ways to show your boss that you are prepared at all times.

6. Organize your space.

Clean space = clean mind.

Nothing is more overwhelming on a work day than have a disorganized space. Small, affordable adds to your desk can make a huge difference to your overall productivity at your desk!

There are so many little things on your desk at all times: pens, papers, mouse, sticky notes, coffee. It all just becomes clutter.

When you are packing up for the day, you want an easy solution to organize your stuff to get out of there for the day…..quickly!

7. Color coordinate.

This might sound like when you were back in elementary school, but as a major type A office girl, it truly transforms your office space.

Color coordinating the pieces on your desk allows for a clean, organized, and cute aesthetic for your office.

8. Upgrade technology accessories.

Nothing is worse than using a laptop mouse all day long. The smallest upgrades to your work space, truly change the game for work productivity.

A mouse and keyboard will be appreciated more than you know. A mouse is also great to have to throw into your bag if you have to go to the office or run to a coffee shop to get some work done.

9. Use planning tools.

A desk calendar or planner is great to have during the work day.

You spend more time at work then in your real life, so keep track of your work/meetings/tasks/etc. Separating work and your personal life is so important when building balance so keep this calendar on your desk ONLY.
