How to Style your Work Outfit

Buying your first work outfit is exhausting, pricy, and stressful to say the least.

I remember starting my first job and buying a million combinations of tops, pants, and shoes. Little did I know…..I did not want to wear those pieces everyday.

Pants can be uncomfortable to wear all day in the office. Don’t get me wrong, I still wear pants, but not everyday.

You want professional, comfortable, yet stylish outfits to wear to the office.

Styling your work outfit can be super easy with these 5 closet staples!

Let’s be realistic for a second: spending hundreds of dollars on outfits you only wear to work….. a waste.

Office outfits should be multipurpose.

Obviously don’t wear your office outfit to the bar. However, you could wear the maxi dress to a family dinner or a blazer to a fancy dinner out with your significant other.

Style your Work Outfit with these 5 Pieces!

Blazer

If a blazer is not in your closet, order one RIGHT NOW! There are SO many colors in this blazer.

I have been missing out, I just bought my first one and am ready to order more. They are so easy to pair with a basic outfit.

The elevated look that a blazer gives is unmatched.

The best part about a blazer is that this is the moment of the outfit. The pant and top need to be a basic because the blazer is the main piece of the outfit.

Mules

Mules have been in my closet since my first corporate job. I have them in nude, black, and gold!

Mules are comfortable, chic, and realistic for an office work day.

Maxi Dress

*The link below is a similar option, not exactly what is in picture*

Love a maxi dress for the spring, summer, and fall months in the office.

Talk about comfortable. For girls that get it, it is flowy (not restricting like pants)!

Easy. Having a maxi dress, you do not need to comb through the closet looking for a top and pant combination.

Being a maxi length, the dress is appropriate for an office setting. Recommend getting one with sleeves or if it is spagettii, add a cardigan.

Cardigan

A cardigan is a staple for an office job.

Leave one at your desk or bring one everyday, either way YOU NEED A CARDIGAN.

Pick a neutral color as a starter, it will go with everything and can be wore everyday.

Offices are usually freezing so even if it does not go with the outfit, you may need something for a layer of warmth.

Jewelry

Jewelry is the cherry on top for a work outfit (or any outfit for that matter).

These gold simple bracelets have been my everyday look for work. They go with everything (including other earrings/rings).

Have a go to pair of earrings, bracelets, or necklaces that can be wore with any outfit, mornings are so much easier when you have go to jewelry pieces.
