Quick 5 Minute Makeup Routine for Work

This post is sharing the easiest makeup routine that I use everyday before work.

Being a corporate girl, I do not like to waste my expensive Dior foundation for a day in the office. Interviews or important meetings I may whip out the boujee stuff but for the most part, these makeup products do the job.

The reason this routine works so well is also the timing aspect, it is so quick yet gives a great look.

The Best Morning Routine

The struggle is real on finding products that will also last 8-10 hours. You may not be sweating or having it be rubbed off but makeup wears. This routine does not wear through the day.

The products used in this routine are very affordable! Like I said, I do not want to waste my expensive product on a work day. However, the quality of the products does not equal the cost.

Let’s be clear, I am NOT a makeup person. I barely know what I am doing and probably have no business telling someone about makeup. HOWEVER, I have mastered the corporate makeup look because I know nothing about fancy makeup looks.

This makeup look gives a professional, yet natural, glowy look.

The Makeup Routine

1. Apply the Liquid Foundation

This is a great base for your face.

Struggling with acne, I was never able to use these types of products but since my face has started to clear, this has been a game changer.

The shades are beautiful and give a gorgeous glow look to your face after applying.

The foundation comes with a stick applicator that make it SO QUICK to apply. Add 5 dots of foundation on the face: each cheek, forehead, chin, nose.

Some people use their hands to rub it in but a beauty blender is also easy and quality application.

2. Apply the Foundation Power

This stuff is so cheap but AMAZING QUALITY.

This product has been in my makeup bag for YEARS.

It only makes sense to use this for an everyday look because it is so affordable and great.

The reason this product is in the makeup routine is because it really sets the liquid foundation in and allows it to last longer.

A foundation or large powder brush is the best application tool to apply this product. I apply it heavier on the cheeks but still add it all over as a setting powder.

This product can be skipped but because of my acne struggle, this adds another layer of coverage.

3. Blush to the Cheeks

This blush has been another product that is always in the lineup.

The blush is a beautiful pink and does not need a lot of product to be seen on your face.

Use a small brush to apply to the upper cheek bone and down towards the nose.

Blush is the first to fade in the makeup routine so go heavy as it will fade by lunch.

4. Gel the Brows

Cannot say enough good things about this wow brow gel.

Let me emphasize that this is an amazing eyebrow filling or a simple color tint to your eyebrows.

There are a couple colors available to match your eyebrow color.

Applying the eyebrow gel is SO QUICK.

Eyebrows will look amazing after simply brushing on the gel with the brush applicator.

5. Curl the Eyelashes

Maybe not everyone has to curl their eyelashes, but this girl does or it looks like I have no eyelashes.

Nothing fancy, the cheap ones do the job. No need to blow money on an eyelash curler, it is all about the application.

Hold the curler on the lash for at least a couple seconds and do this process twice.

6. Mascara

This is the BEST mascara.

I started with the regular telescopic when it first came out and the telescopic lift is nothing less than amazing.

If you struggle with clumping or actually having your lashes show, this is a product to order and try out!

The brush has thin, fine bristles that apply fantastic to your eyelashes.

3 coats of the mascara is all you need and you are good to go.

The quality of these products do not match the price. Although I said I have expensive makeup, at some points….it is not any better than my drugstore makeup.
